Junius Allen

1896 - 1962

 Junius Allen was born in 1896 in Summit, NJ.  He studied art at the New York School of Fine and Applied Arts and at the National Academy of Design.  He spent most of his career in New York City, though he took painting trips to Provincetown, MA and Mongehan Island, ME.  He was a member of the National Academy of Design and the Salmagundi Club, where he was the vice president.   He was also an art instructor, teaching at Wayman Adams Art School in Elizabethtown, NY.  He died in 1962.
